The Day the World Went QUEER! was an original satirical musical that answered the question: What if gay men really DO intend to “turn” the whole world gay?
In a quintessential 1950s Midwest town, three gay men used their wiles to infiltrate all levels of society until one day, everyone else woke up gay too! The doting mother and homemaker became a motorcycle dyke, the breadwinning office-working father became a leather daddy, and the wholesome son, a prancing aerobics queen.

The costumes of the first act were realistic archetypal 1950s fashion styles in neutral colors to sharply contrast with the outlandish stereotypical “gay” clothes of the second act. The humor and exaggeration of the Act II clothes served to emphasize the inherent ridiculousness of the premise itself.
