I have a PhD in Apparel, Merchandising, and Design from Iowa State University, an MFA in Costume Design from New York University, and an BA in English from University of Pennsylvania.
My research agenda combines the creative practice of costume design with historical dress, social and psychological aspects of fashion, and the communicative qualities of appearance. Research conducted for theatrical productions and academic projects has inspired creative fashion design projects as well. I also help scholars and researchers with their writing journey!
